Kolkata: A youth was arrested in West Bengal by the Border Security Force Saturday for trying to smuggle fake Indian currency notes of face value of Rs.90,000 from Bangladesh, authorities said.
The 19-year-old youth was arrested from near the Daulatpur border outpost in Malda district while trying to sneak in the currency notes from across the Bangladesh border, the BSF said in a statement.
The BSF has seized fake notes of face value of over Rs.75 lakh so far this year.
