New Delhi: V K Shunglu, the former Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), who has been appointed by the Prime Minister's office to head the probe into the Commonwealth Games met Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today.
Sources have told NDTV that the meeting was attended by the Cabinet Secretary, Sports Secretary and the PM's principal secretary. The meeting which lasted 45 minutes was to finalise the terms of referrence for the Shunglu committee.
Sources say V K Shunglu, who takes charge on Monday, would primarily focus on the administrative lapses. The committee will not duplicate the investigation done by other statutory bodies like the CAG or the CBI.
"Certain processes are in the process of finalisation and it would not be fair for to comment," Shunglu told NDTV after his meeting with the Prime Minister.
