Cyclone Nilofar: National Disaster Response Force Deploys 14 Teams in Gujarat
The cyclone is expected to hit the Gujarat coast on Friday.
Ahmedabad: The National Disaster Response Force has deployed 14 rescue and relief teams with boats and other flood rescue equipment as a proactive measure to mitigate the situation during cyclonic storm Nilofar, which is expected to hit the Gujarat coast on Friday.

The teams comprising more than 550 rescuers have been deployed at Somnath, Gandhidam, Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagarh, Veeraval, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Kutch and Bhuj, an official
release said today.

In addition to that, two more teams have been deployed in Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

Deputy Inspector General of NDRF Randeep Rana is being sent to coordinate the team's operations with the state authorities at Gandhinagar.
