Bhubaneswar: Internationally renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik today said he will sell some of his sand art on canvas to support victims of cyclone Phailin.
The fund raised from the sale would directly go to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, he said.
"As an artist I want to support the victims of cyclone and floods in our state through my art. So, I need the support of my fans and art lovers as I have decided to sell my sand art on canvas," Mr Pattnaik said.
"I have reduced the price which would be Rs 1 lakh for each art work," he said.
In his last exhibition in Bhubaneswar, Mr Pattnaik had sold a sand art on canvas for Rs 5 lakh and has created many sand sculptures, appealing people to extend their help to the victims of Tsunami, cyclone and floods.
So far, Mr Pattnaik has participated in more than 50 international sand art championships and festivals around the world and has won many laurels for our country.
