New Delhi:
Mumbai and its neighbouring areas today experienced high-speed winds and heavy rains as the "very severe cyclonic storm" Tauktae headed towards Gujarat, uprooting trees and disrupting local train services.
Movement of vehicles on Mumbai's iconic Bandra-Worli sea link has been suspended in light of cyclone Tauktae -- which intensified into an 'extremely severe cyclonic storm' early this morning and people were asked to take alternate routes.
