Jamsehedpur: Cyrus Mistry today made his first public appearance here after taking over the reins of Tata Sons as Chairman in December last year by participating in the 174th birth anniversary celebrations of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the founder of the country's biggest conglomerate company.

Later, a spectacular pageant was taken out by various departments of the company, as well as associated companies and social organizations, with attractive tableaus to mark the occasion.
Addressing the gathering at Postal Park in Bistupur, Mr Mistry said it was a great honor for him to pay homage to the founder of Tata Steel.
In his maiden public address, Mr Mistry said fulfilling the dreams of the founder would be his priority and he would continue to maintain the values and ideals propagated by Jamshetji.
