Dantewada:
A fierce encounter is going on between Naxals and the security forces in the Morpalli forests of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
Three jawans have been reported dead and seven injured. The injured have been evacuated and brought by helicopter to Jagdalpur district hopsital.
The encounter started at three pm today, after the security forces got tipped off about heavy Naxal presence in the Morapalli forest.
Three Hundred Men - of the CRPF, District Police - went in for the search operations, the police says that they were ambushed by nearly a thousand Naxals.
The police claims that 12 Naxals have also been killed in the encounter.
