Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks come as a newspaper published a recent photograph of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh:
Dawood Ibrahim, one of India's most wanted, is permanently living in Pakistan, said Union Home Minster, Rajnath Singh, about the mastermind of the 1993 blasts in Mumbai that killed 257 people and injured nearly 1,000.
"Such people keep changing their location... but he is permanently living in Pakistan," Mr Singh told reporters in Lucknow today.
The home minister's remarks come as a newspaper published a recent photograph of the underworld don, claiming that Indian intelligence agencies have evidence of the terrorist and his family being provided shelter in Karachi.
Mr Singh refused to comment about the picture.
When asked about Dawood possessing multiple passports, Mr Singh said, "Such people often possess a number of passports and I have said this even in Parliament. It can be possible. There is nothing new in it."
Dawood Ibrahim, 59, is at number 8 on a list of 50 most wanted terrorists that India handed over to Pakistan in 2011. India has submitted several dossiers that it says are proof that he lives on Clifton Road in Karachi.
There is an Interpol red corner notice against Dawood for his role in the 1993 blasts. In 2003, the US designated him as a global terrorist with links to terror groups, Al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
