Day after blasts, bomb defused in Bangalore
Bangalore: A day after a bomb scare at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, explosives have been found at two differentplaces, one near a statue on MG Road near the stadium on Sunday.
The explosive substance has been diffused and taken to forensic lab for examination. The explosive was found wrapped in a bag on M G Road near the stadium at 9.30 am, police said.
"We are in the process of defusing it," they said, adding, search was on in the area to find out if there were more explosives.
At least eight to ten people were being interrogated in connection with Saturday's explosion, police said. However, no arrest has been made so far. "The interrogative process is very much on," they said.
The bombs exploded outside the stadium minutes before the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians was to begin. (Read: After blasts, another bomb outside Bangalore stadium)
