New Delhi: The military operations at Pathankot airbase are over. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today addressed the media.

- In this operation 6 terrorists have been neutralised. Two of those bodies are burnt badly. DNA confirmation will have to be done to double check.
- Combing operations are still on and may continue till tomorrow.
- Once combing operations are over I will request them (defence personnel) to take you (mediapersons) around.
- Congratulate security forces as they've done excellent job of containing these highly motivated terrorists. I salute them.
- I have practically visited all the spots where the gun battle took place.
- 40-50 kg of ammunition have been found on them (terrorists).
- There are some indications that some of the material is made in Pakistan.
- Let the NIA do its investigation.
- I see some gaps in the operations.But I don't think we compromised on security.
- This is a huge campus. It takes some time to guard such a huge complex.
- The martyrs of Pathankot operations are being declared battle casualties. Their families will get the benefits given to war casualties.
- All defence bases are now being audited from security angle.
