New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police are bracing for a massive congestion on the roads today. In the light of the trade fair opening to the general public and the farmers' protest in the city, travel time is likely to increase as the roads are all interconnected.
"Delhi Police have suggested the use of Metro wherever possible," Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) SN Srivastav said.
Police have also appealed to the people to use public transport, he added.
Areas expected to be affected are Mandi House, Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar and Parliament Street.
Beside, there may be also Presidential movement on the road today, as President Pratibha Patil is expected to attend IGNOU's silver jubilee celebrations.
