New Delhi: Reacting to BJP lawmaker Kirti Azad's video expose that alleges financial irregularities by the Delhi cricket body, its President Sneh Prakash Bansal today strongly refuted the charges saying that no company bill mentioned in the sting operation exists in the cricket body's transaction records.

"I as DDCA President rebut the charges. They have misrepresented the whole story. The facts and bills that Wikileaks4India was showing were totally false. No bill shown in the sting was accounted for from DDCA. Our balance sheet is ready till 2013. We did not expect a company to do such a thing (sting operation) and some former and respected cricketers to back their bogus claims," Mr Bansal told reporters in a press conference in Ne Delhi.

Kirti Azad had been campaigning against the alleged corruption in Delhi and District Cricket Association or DDCA. At a press conference in Delhi today, he claimed that the DDCA had given contracts to various companies but the addresses given for these were found to be false.

Mr Bansal refuted the allegations ans said that "Apart from VAZ consultancy the cricket body did not not business with any other agency shown in the 'Wikileaks4India video' and that the names don't even exists in our record. "Sab kuch Farzi tha (everything was a hogwash). All records are with DDCA with the companies that we have dealt with. Their story is totally false," he said

"As they showed that companies with whom we did our work did not have proper PIN, PAN or Service Tax numbers numbers is absolutely wrong. The companies that we have worked with have all got their documents in place and we have all the records with us which we can provide you," Mr Bansal added.

Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi, who also shared the stage with Mr Azad during the press conference, has been waging a long battle against the DDCA, alleging rampant corruption.

"I will not take names, but I must say that till the time their children were playing here they did not speak against DDCA. The moment their children stopped playing they started maligning us," Mr Bansal said.

The Delhi government had also ordered a probe into the alleged dealings of DDCA but the state board's treasurer Ravinder Manchandana asserted that they are not answerable to the state government.

"We reject the setting up of this inquiry board. They don't have the powers then how can they form the commission. The home ministry has already clarified that Delhi government has no business to set up an inquiry committee. And moreover DDCA's subject matters doesn't come under the state government," said Mr Manchanda.
