Lucknow: The Delhi government will pass the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi assembly on November 18, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Alka Lamba said today.
The lawmaker from Chandni Chowk assembly constituency of Delhi was in Lucknow to take part in an event organised by the AAP where she made this announcement.
Ms Lamba urged the political parties to shed casteism, communally divisive policies and focus on development.
She also slammed the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Uttar Pradesh over rising crime against women and the poor law and order situation.
"The people of the state seem to be fed up with the present government and are yearning for change," she told the gathering.
