Sunday's bridge collapse was the worst-ever mishap that the Delhi Metro has seen, where 6 died and 15 were injured.
Thee clearing up operation is still going on. The main road connecting the busy Kalkaji and Moolchand areas in south Delhi is still not open.
On Sunday, the Metro authorities said the road will be opened by Monday morning for the Delhi office rush.
But on Sunday night clearing work had to be stopped for sometime due to rain. This is the second major accident in concerning the metro in nine months.
Meanwhile, Delhi Metro chief E Sreedharan was spotted overseeing the operations at the mishap site.
Metro Man E Sreedharan had quit on Sunday evening but his resignation has been rejected by the Delhi government.
Sources say the government feels if there is a change of guard at this juncture, meeting the Metro Rail's deadline for the Commonwealth Games by 2010 may not be possible.
Sreedharan had taken responsibility for Delhi Metro project's worst accident till now and resigned.
The Delhi Metro has constituted a four-member high-level probe panel to look into the reasons for the collapse of the under-construction bridge. The team will submit its report within ten days.
