New Delhi:
Delhi Police have announced a reward of 15 lakh on Yaseen Bhatkal, the Indian Mujahideen operative who is alleged to have masterminded the 2010 terror attacks in Pune, Delhi and Bangalore.
Yesterday, the police had released a photograph purportedly showing Bhatkal, also known as Imran, leaving behind a bag with the bomb that would explode at Pune's German Bakery.
The Pune blast came after a bomb in a knapsack exploded in the bakery across the road from the Jewish Chabad House and a stone's throw from the Osho Ashram. Over 40 people, including two other alleged IM operatives, have been arrested in this case.
Earlier this week, the Delhi Police had arrested six alleged IM operatives from different parts of the country and claimed that they were involved in the Pune German Bakery blast in February last year in which 17 people were killed; an explosion outside Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium during an IPL match in April 2010 which left 15 persons injured; and firing on two tourists and a blast in a car outside the Jama Masjid mosque on 19 September last year.
