Four suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists have been arrested in Rajasthan in a joint operation by the state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Special Cell of Delhi Police. One of them, Waqas, is alleged to be the chief bomb-maker of the banned outfit and a close aide of its jailed co-founder Yasin Bhatkal.

- Arrested Waqas yesterday morning, he is involved in several terror strikes in the country
- During Waqas' interrogation, it was found that three of his accomplices in Rajasthan were planning terror strikes
- Two were arrested from Jaipur, the other was arrested in Jodhpur, explosives were recovered
- Arrested Waqas at Ajmer railway station after receiving a tip-off that he was due to arrive there
- Mahroof has an engineering degree, Md Waqar is studying engineering, Saqib Ansari works as computer and printing designer
- Waqas was planning to meet his aides in Ajmer and plan a terror attack
- Waqas born in 1989 in Pak, has diploma in food technology, was sent to LeT camp for 21-day training
- Waqas later introduced to Bhatkal brothers in Karachi, came to India via Kathmandu, received by Tehseen Akhtar
- Under Yasin Bhatkal's order, Waqas participated in terror strikes in Mumbai, Jama Masjid, Pune and Hyderabad
- Any major event including polls could be targeted, we still have to probe further about their specific target
- A spectacular terror attack has been averted, sister agencies helped us across states
