New Delhi:
The Delhi police on Monday seized cocaine worth Rs. 6.5 crore hidden in various cavities of a trolley bag by a Peruvian national.
The police had been tipped off about the man, who was arrested outside the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The man had arrived on an Emirates flight from Sao Paolo via Dubai carrying 1,300 grams of the drug.
The Peruvian was carrying the drug wrapped in four layers of plastic, silver foil and black poly vinyl chloride, or PVC, in an attempt to avoid detection by X-ray machines.
