The entire Gandhi family - Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka - were among the early voters as Delhi went to polls today in a tight triangular contest between traditional rivals Congress and BJP, and debutant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
While Sonia, accompanied by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, exercised her franchise at the polling station in Nirman Bhavan at around 10 am, Mr Gandhi cast his vote at a polling booth in Aurangzeb Lane.
Priyanka, accompanied by her husband Robert Vadra, cast her vote at a polling booth in Lodhi Estate.
When asked about Congress' prospect in the polls, Sonia she was hopeful of Congress' victory. "We will win," she said.
Clad in a while kurta-pyjama and a half-jacket, Mr Gandhi cast his ballot after standing in the queue for around 32 minutes.
Exuding confidence of Congress' victory, Mr Gandhi said Ms Dikshit has "done a lot of good work in Delhi. I think she will do well."
