Delhi today logged 20,718 COVID-19 cases while the positivity rate, for the second straight day, stood at 30.64 per cent, according to health department data.
Over the last 24 hours, 30 patients have died, taking the total death count to 25,335.
On Friday, Delhi had reported 24,383 cases with a positivity rate of 30.64 per cent and 34 deaths. On Thursday, the city logged 28,867 COVID-19 cases, the sharpest single-day spike since the beginning of the pandemic, and 31 deaths, while the positivity rate stood at 29.21 per cent.
Delhi's previous biggest daily jump of 28,395 cases was recorded on April 20 last year.
The active Covid caseload stands at 93,407.There are 69,554 patients in home isolation.
The recovery rate is at 92.98 per cent, while the Covid death rate is at 1.5 per cent.
Some 76,624 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of which 51,141 were RT-PCR tests while 13, 483 were antigen tests.
The containment zones in the capital city are 30,472.
As per Delhi Health Bulletin, 2620 patients are in Covid dedicated hospitals. Out of these 102 are Covid suspect while 2518 are confirmed Covid patients.
Out of 2518 patients, 2170 are from Delhi while 348 are from neighbouring states. 887 among them are on oxygen support, 113 on ventilator while 724 are in ICU.
