Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai today flagged off a new 'U-Special' bus aimed at easing commuting of Delhi University students and staff.
The route for the university-special service bus is set between Jahangirpuri Metro Station and Swami Shradha Nand College of Delhi University via Libaspur (G.T. Road) and Nangli Poona area.
"The low floor non-A/C CNG bus will depart from the metro station at 8.20 am in the morning and will leave the campus at 2 pm in the evening serving large number of students," said a government official.
Last week, the Transport Minster had launched U-Special bus services between Hauz Khas metro station and South Campus.
According to the official, the decision to introduce U-Special buses was taken after a delegation of DU students met Mr Rai and raised the need for such services.
