Democratic Institutions Being Undermined, Says Congress: Highlights

New Delhi: Janardan Dwivedi, Congress leader, addresses the media after Congress working committee meeting in New Delhi.

• 30 people were present at the meeting.
• Today's meeting had two aspects to it : one was election and the other was prices.
• Land ordinance and amendments in Forest Rights Act were among the issues that were discussed.
  
• Congress President spoke first: given that previous year was a challenging one, I hope new year will bring new beginning for the party.
  
• It is also an occasion to prepare for service to the country.

• While it is important we reflect on our shortcomings we need to be extra vigilant what is happening around us.
  
• Democratic institutions are being undermined, 1 ordinance every 28 days by BJP government.
