New Delhi: The family of a 46-year-old man who died on the way to hospital on Sunday has alleged that traffic restrictions due to movement of Prime Minister's convoy led to his death.
The Prime Minister's office has asked for a report from the Home Secretary.
Anil Jain, a resident of New Delhi's Shahadra area, suffered a heart-attack on Sunday. His ambulance was stuck near Rajghat for about half an hour as the PM's convoy was passing.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was returning from the AICC Plenary session yesterday when the alleged incident happened.
Today, the PM took a chopper to reach the Plenary venue.
