New Delhi:
In the backdrop of a heated debate on Hindutva terror, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh today hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP) accusing them of indulging in "divisive politics".
Digvijaya's comments came at a seminar convened by civil society groups in the national capital to discuss questions of identity and religion and a demand for a reinvestigation into all terror attacks in the last two decades.
Digvijaya slammed the BJP for stoking the communal fire in the country, tracing it to senior leader L K Advani's Rath Yatra in 1992.
"Whenever BJP gets politically weakened, they resort to divisive politics. They would want to build a temple where there is communal unrest. They would want to hoist flags in disputed lands. They would not care about raising flags in BJP-dominated states or at RSS headquarters", Digvijaya said.
