Dinakaran case: Judges' group to meet Chief Justice of India

New Delhi: The Chief Justice of India may have asked the government to take a call on promoting Justice Dinakaran to the Supreme Court, but the Lawyers Forum For Judicial Accountability has sought another appointment with the head of the apex court on the issue.

The focus is on charges other than the encroachment of land by the judge.

These include allegedly disproportionate property acquired by Justice Dinakaran after he became a judge. The forum also cites what it sees as questionable judicial orders passed by him.
