The father of Disha Salian, the former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar today and sought a fresh investigation into her daughter's death.
Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, reportedly after a fall from the 14th floor of an apartment building in Malad. Six days later, Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home. The actor's sudden death sparked chilling theories and allegations of murder and abetment to suicide. The CBI has now submitted a report, saying it didn't find any evidence of abetment.
Disha Salian's father Satish Salian has alleged that his daughter was raped and murdered and has brought serious allegations against several public figures, including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray. Following the closure report, Mr Salian has demanded a fresh investigation into his daughter's death. He earlier filed a petition in the Bombay High Court. The petition accuses Mumbai Police of tagging Disha Salian's death case as a suicide or accidental fall in a "hot-haste manner", ignoring critical forensic evidence, eyewitness accounts, and circumstantial proof.
Mr Salian has alleged his daughter was brutally assaulted and murdered and the crime was covered up. He has sought an FIR against Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray and a CBI investigation. The Sena (UBT) leader has earlier trashed the allegations and said they were aimed at maligning his image.
