New Delhi: BJP today asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stay within his "limits" taking strong exception to the latter's repeated barbs at the Prime Minister even as it accused the AAP chief of playing "politics over corpses".

Describing Mr Kejriwal as a "marketing and packaging expert", BJP said he was using PM Modi as a shield to hide his shortcomings and failures as Chief Minister and that he did not have the status to advice the Prime Minister.

"He (Kejriwal) has stooped to the lowest level of politics by repeatedly dragging the Prime Minister in every other issue. He clearly cannot function within constitutional norms and have nothing substantial to show to people except presenting old initiatives as new," Delhi BJP unit president Satish Upadhyay told reporters.

Referring to AAP government's open letter to the PM in the form of advertisements, Shyam Jaju, the party's new Delhi in-charge, said it was wrong to use public exchequers money in putting out such public appeals.

"Perhaps for the first time in India's history any CM using such language against the PM. That too using Budget money. Mr Kejriwal has no status to advice Modi and should stay within his limits," Mr Jaju said.

Mr Upadhyay slammed the Chief Minister for indulging in "political mudslinging" over the death of a 19-year-old girl in the city's Anand Parbat area and alleged the government had a "pick and choose" policy in compensating such victims.

"His compensation is meant for those from whom he can reap political benefits and mileage. He is playing politics over corpses," he said.
