Don't limit Anti-Congress stand to Lokpal Bill, says Sena to Anna

Don't limit Anti-Congress stand to Lokpal Bill, says Sena to Anna
Pune: Welcoming Gandhian Anna Hazare's just announced anti-Congress posture for the forthcoming elections, Shiv Sena today said that the anti-graft crusader should not limit it to the issue of enactment of the Jan Lokpal Bill alone.

"Hazare has declared war against Congress, asking people not to vote for it, if it did not pass the Jan Lokpal Bill. But it would mean that if Congress prostrates before him and accepts his version of the Lokpal bill, Hazare's anti-Congress stand would end," an editorial in the party mouthpiece 'Saamna' said.

It said that Sena wanted a "strong Lokpal", who should not become a Frankenstein usurping its powers.

"If Anna wants to work for transformation in the country, it should be welcomed, but let him not limit it to the issue of Jan Lokpal Bill," it added.

"Anna has appealed to the youth to realise India of Gandhi's dream. Gandhi had dreamed of a 'Ram-rajya' and wanted Congress to be dissolved (after Independence)," the editorial said.

"Today, Congress is trying to redefine poverty, which it cannot remove. The rulers are indulging in corruption and looting the country. The people want the 'Ravan-lila' of Congress to end, so as to usher in Ram-rajya. If Hazare does not tread carefully, there will be a 'ghotala' in the transformation (he is seeking)," it said.
