New Delhi: Even as there is two more cases reported from Hyderabad, the government has emphasised there is no panic.
Speaking to NDTV, Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said the Government has put systems and precautions in place like setting up a task force, which is in touch with the WHO to monitor the spread of the virus.
He said that medicines have been procured at large scale and being sent to the states adding that advisories have been issued across the country that outbound passengers should avoid visit swine flu-hit countries.
Every inbound passenger coming into the country is being screened for the virus, he said.
Meanwhile, health officials from Andhra Pradesh held discussions with a team of Central Rapid Response officials of NICD to contain the swine flu infection in the state.
The team felt the Centre could issue travel advisories to people coming to India from flu-hit countries asking them to undergo tests including their screening and monitoring them with fever and other flu-like symptoms, officials said.
