Both Omicron Cases Found In India Have Mild Symptoms, Says Centre: 5 Points

Two Omicron cases have been detected in India, the government said today. Both the cases have been reported in Karnataka. The new variant, first discovered in southern Africa, represents a fresh challenge to global efforts to battle the pandemic.

  1. Of the two, one is a foreign national. All primary contacts and secondary contacts of both the cases have been traced and are being tested, the Health Ministry said.
