Don't politicise the issue of Afzal Guru's execution: Digvijaya Singh to NDTV

New Delhi: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has said that there is no need to politicise the issue of Afzal Guru's execution. He also said that it's not fair if the last wish of convict is not granted.

• Don't politicise it's an issue of internal security of this country there was an attack on Parliament and the Supreme Court has decided
• Anyone has to be hanged there are certain rules and wish and that has to be granted
• The last wish of the accused has to be granted and if it has not been done it's not fair
• I don't think it was done in tearing hurry
• We can't discriminate and ensure everyone is treated at par
• We can't pick and choose in cases of terror it has to be uniform and without any bias but let's not make it political
• One has to take hard decisions unpleasant decisions even if there is a law and order situation
• The government of India has to go ahead and must take in the best interest of the country
