Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes his third radio address.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today shared his thoughts on the issue of drug menace in India in the third round of his "Mann Ki Baat" radio programme.
During his last radio address, on November 4, PM Modi had invited views on the issue of "mitigating the menace of drugs" and had also asked NGOs working on the issue to share their experiences.

- Last time I had invited people to share ideas and comments on the issue of drug menace.
- Drug addiction is a big problem.
- When a son or daughter gets into drugs, it destroys the family.
- But families should reject drugs, and not the child.
- When a youngster gets into this (drugs) we consider the him or her bad. But the truth is the drugs are bad not the youth.
- Bad habits don't start all of a sudden. It happens over time. Parents should study those changes happening and can save the children.
- Drugs should be shunned, not the addicts.
- Drugs drive people up a blind alley, lead to destruction.
- Drugs are neither cool nor a style statement.
- Drugs a 3D problem - darkness, destruction, devastation.
- Drug addiction is a psycho-socio-medical problem which leads to destruction.
- Got a lot of letters and e-mails, the society's problems are coming out.
- Your letters have become an inspiration for me.
- I want to thank the media. Some TV channels did programmes on drugs. They expressed a concern on the issue.
- Some people are depressed with life and take to drugs.
- Have always heard that if you share grief, you lessen your burden and if you share your happiness, it increases.
- Have the courage to say no (to drugs) and reject drugs. Tell your friends the same too.
- Drugs come as a part of medicines.
- Chemists should be careful. No medicine should be given without prescription.
- Met the Indian team that won the Blind Cricket World Cup. Saw their enthusiasm. It was great. I got energy after meeting them.
- When a child from village comes to the city for studying, be careful. We have to be on alert.
