It's certainly not the sort of support the Maharashtra NCP is looking for in its troubled times, especially from its own MP.
Udyanraje Bhonsale, the party's MP from Satara and a descendant of Chattrapati Shivaji, slammed the NCP.
"The party can go to hell," he said at a press conference.
And to make the matters worse, Bhonsale, who traces his lineage back to Shivaji, turned up at a press conference apparently drunk. The meet was to highlight a local molestation case and instead Bhonsale chose to air his own differences with the party.
Mouthing dialogues that bordered on the dramatic, Raje claimed some within his party were trying to oust him.
"They have been saying he is not corrupt, get him out. I want to tell them I will not go easily," Bhonsale said.
Sharad Pawar may only have a handful MPs, but with one MP Padamsinh Patil already behind bars and another MP now addressing drunken press conferences, Pawar will certainly have more to worry about than just dealing with India's stock piles of food grain.
