The Mysore Palace in Karnataka all lighted up for Dussehra festivities




All the dignitaries including PM Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee have left the Subhash Ground.
The effigies have been put on fire now.

The dignitaries are applying tilak on the foreheads of young men dressed as Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman and Lord Hanuman.


President Pranab Mukherjee has arrived at the event. He is currently lighting the lamp to officially inaugurate the event.


Vice President Hamid Ansari is also present at the venue.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at the venue. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi are also present.


Heavy police personnel has been deployed at the Ramlila Ground.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend Dussehra celebrations at Ramlila Ground in the national capital shortly. PM Modi will witness the grand burning of the effigies of demon king Ravana.
