New Delhi: Earmark a day for all parties to collectively disrupt Parliament but after this some work must be done, says Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

"Why can't we have one day earmarked for all parties to collectively disrupt parliament, take the whole day to disrupt and then do some work?" he tweeted today.

His tweet came after Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day following disruptions by various parties on issues including Telengana, reports of death of children in relief camps of Muzzafarnagar and tabling of Joint Parliamentary Committee report on the 2G scam.

Mr Abdullah also spoke about the stalemate in Delhi after the assembly elections threw up a hung verdict and said he could never imagine a day in political history of the country where there was a race for becoming leader of opposition.

"Never did I imagine I'd see the day when people would fight to be leader of the opposition with no one fighting to be leader," he said in a subsequent tweet.

He also congratulated Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for the splendid showing of his nascent party.

"Congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal Stunning political debut. Now fight the good fight and live up to the promise the people of Delhi have seen."
