Earthquake in Sikkim, schools and colleges closed

Darjeeling: An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit Sikkim at 11.43 am.

Schools and colleges have been closed as a precaution.

A report from Gangtok in Sikkim said some buildings had developed cracks and people were out on the streets.

According to another report, tremors were also felt in Siliguri.
