Edelweiss CEO and businesswoman Radhika Gupta has shared her "poor landing experience" with low-cost carrier IndiGo, describing in a post on X (formerly Twitter) all the things that took place after the plane landed. The company has responded to her post, assuring her that an investigation is on. Ms Gupta said the IndiGo employees was unhelpful and there was a lack of coordination with the airport staff. She was flying from Dubai to Mumbai with her son and the incident took place when the plane landed.
"Very poor landing experience @IndiGo6E with a child. The purpose of giving strollers at a flight gate on departure is so it is returned at the gate on arrival, because you need strollers to carry a baby immediately," Ms Gupta said in her post.
"Handed over a stroller and car seat at the Dubai gate to be told we would get in at the gate in Mumbai. Forget gate, we waited for an hour at midnight before they were located. Airport staff and @IndiGo6E were very uncooperative, especially the latter. They neither knew where the stuff will come - belt, oversized area or somewhere else - nor wanted to help," she added.
Ms Gupta sked the airline to take the feedback seriously, asking them to have basic hygiene in check since they run international operations.
Responding to her post, IndiGo said it "truly regrets learning about your experience". "We would like to assure you that we are investigating this matter on priority," the airline added in its post.
The businesswoman's post amassed nearly one lakh views and close to 100 comments. It sparked a huge debate among social media users on the conduct of airlines.
