Khandwa: Eight people were killed and seven others injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Roshiya crossing, 25 kilometres away from the district headquarters, police said.
The victims were on their way to Omkareshwar for a pilgrimage when the mishap took place around 12 noon on the Indore-Icchapur State Highway.
All of them are related to each other and belong to Pune and Bhusawal in Maharashtra, Khandwa SP, Manoj Sharma said.
Among the deceased, three are men along with as many women besides two children, police said.
