The helicopter was on its way from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh to Sanganer airport in Jaipur.

Jaipur: Bad weather today forced an Army helicopter to make an emergency landing in an open field along the Jaipur-Agra national highway in this district but no one was hurt.

A senior Army officer and two pilots were on board the helicopter when it made the emergency landing at around noon, police said.

The helicopter was on its way from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh to Sanganer airport in Jaipur.

"Due to bad weather, the pilots had to make emergency landing in an open field close to Jaipur-Agra national highway at around 12 noon," SHO of Kanota Police station Gaurishankar told PTI.

Moments after the safe landing, the senior officer left by road.

The helicopter took off for Jaipur when the weather conditions became favourable for flying after more than one hour, the police said.

The police did not reveal the identity of the officer and pilots while the Army did not comment on the matter.
