French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in India to attend the Republic Day Parade tomorrow as its chief guest. He arrived in Jaipur this afternoon and was joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a tour of heritage sites and a roadshow. Macron's visit caps the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the India-France Strategic Partnership.

French President Emmanuel Macron and PM Modi will have Jaipur's special masala chai at Hawa Mahal, said sources. They may also pick up handicraft items like blue pottery and the famous inlay work, for which they will pay with BHIM UPI, the sources added. Handicraft kiosks have been set up adjacent to the Hawa Mahal for the dignitaries to browse. A private dinner for Mr Macron has also been planned at the Rambag Palace.
