Engine of passenger train catches fire in Tripura

Kailashahar,: The engine of the Agartala-Dharmanagar passenger train caught fire at Nabincherra in North Tripura district on Monday, but no passenger was hurt, railway sources said.
      
"The engine of the Dharmanagar bound local train caught fire around noon due to mechanical problem at Nabincherra and the train stopped automatically.
     
"Fire fighters doused the flame with the help of rail workers," Station Master of Penchahal railway station, Rajib Kumar said.
      
No passenger suffered any injury, he added.
      
Later, another rail engine was rushed from Dharmanagar railway station and the train reached Dharmanagar about three hours late.
      
Agartala came on the rail map in 2008 and the tracks are narrow gauge.
