Etawah: After the Banda rape case, another BSP MLA is in trouble. A 24-year-old woman has filed a complaint in court in Etawah accusing BSP MLA Prasad Yadav of shielding a man who, she alleges, raped her.
The woman claims that her husband's employer Vinod Awasthi raped her. After this her husband committed suicide.
She says the alleged rapist, Vinod Awasthi, joined hands with the local BSP MLA Shiv Prasad Yadav to frame her in a case of abetting her husband's suicide. She now wants action to be taken against Awasthi and the MLA who she claims is shielding him.
The MLA, however, denies all these charges. "I have already said that whatever allegations the woman is accusing me of, be investigated appropriately," said Shiv Prasad Yadav, BSP MLA, Barthana.
