New Delhi:
BJP MP Vitthal Radadiya, who had sparked a controversy by brandishing a gun at a toll booth attendant in Gujarat, has suggested that elected representatives of the people should be exempted from paying toll tax.
Mr Radadiya argued that stopping at tolls delayed the work of elected leaders and called for privilege for them.
"MPs have all the freedom. The sarpanch should also be given all privileges. When the sarpanch of a Surat village comes, he has to pass 10 tolls. So his work gets delayed when he has to pay at 10 tolls. Whoever wins elections should be given special privileges," the BJP MP from Porbandar said.
