Etah: Family members of a teenage boy, who died in a road accident, today in Etah in Uttar Pradesh, cried foul when they found one of his eyes missing at a government mortuary here. Hodil Singh, 17, died in a road accident yesterday and his body was kept in the mortuary.
His family members created a ruckus when they found his eye missing and alleged that the hospital administration and staff were involved in taking it out.
Demanding stern action against them, they gave an application for registering a First Information Report (FIR) in this matter.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer AK Pandey said a committee comprising three doctors has been constituted to probe the allegations and conduct the post-mortem. However, no FIR has been registered as yet.
