Eye on polls, Gadkari meets Uttarakhand leaders

Dehradun: With an eye on the Uttarakhand Assembly elections early next year, BJP President Nitin Gadkari today visited the state capital and met the state's ministers.

Almost all the state ministers, including Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, were present with the BJP chief while he discussed with them their work, party sources said here.

He asked the ministers to reach out to the people and apprise them of the different schemes and development programmes being run by the state government, they said.

However, he did not talk to media persons.

Gadkari is on a visit to the pilgrimage places in the state and reached here today after his plan to visit Kedarnath was cancelled due to bad weather.
