Muzaffarnagar: Uttar Pradesh Minister for Prisons Sardar Balwant Singh Ramoowalia has said that the process of fixing a meet with prisoners in all 65 jails in the state has now begun online.
Talking to reporters here last evening, he said that the jail authorities have provided this facility to the people outside the district for fixing a meet with the prisoners online. The facility began yesterday.
People who wish to meet a prisoner may apply online specifying the detail and time. The concerned jail would then fixe the date of meet upon request, he said.
The Minister said that the state goverment is considering to release the prisoners who show good character during their time spent in the jail. The age limit for male prisoners would be 70 years, while for women prisoners it will be 50 years.
