Fans 'shed' blood for Chiranjeevi

Hyderabad:

Arguably the most glamourous face in Andhra Pradesh these elections whose political charisma is still an enigma, Chiranjeevi has decided to take the noble route to sending his prayers up to the almighty to take him to the CM's chair.

His fans and admirers indulged in some bloodshed. Some 148 people came forward to donate blood on Thursday at a blood bank in Hyderabad run by Chiranjeevi. They are hoping the Praja Rajyam Party will touch the magic 148 figure in the assembly.

Says Ram Charan Teja, actor and son of Chiranjeevi: "It is the magic figure of 148 that we wanted to make it."

Post-elections, the star himself was busy playing host to the US ambassador who made a courtesy call on him at his residence, which houses a terrace swimming pool as well.

Chiranjeevi knows he has to wait a little longer to know if he will be a political hit or flop. But with all indications that it could be a hung assembly in Andhra Pradesh, he will be hoping he will emerge the unlikely hero.
