New Delhi:
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has slammed the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for its stance on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail that has led to a logjam in Parliament.
"BJP should seriously introspect its stance on FDI. Getting a Brand of a Party of Middlemen! Rightly too!" wrote Mr Singh on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The Congress leader also took a dig at BJP's senior leader LK Advani after the disastrous bypoll result in Bellary, Karnataka.
"Why is no one talking about miserable performance of BJP in by-elections? Doesn't it reflect 'highly successful' Advaniji's Yatra," wrote Mr Singh.
The ruling-BJP lost deposit in Bellary while Independent candidate B Sriramulu won the the rural assembly bypoll by a huge margin of 46,760 votes.
Mr Sriramulu won 74,527 votes, Ramprasad of Congress came second with 27,527 votes and BJP got only 17,366 votes. The BJP needed 20,562 votes to ensure it did not lose its deposit in the bypolls.
