Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was admitted into a private ward of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi today after she compalined of a stomach infection.
The 63-year-old, who was admitted around noon, was also running a fever. Her condition is reported to be stable. The minister has been put through a series of tests, the reports, however, are awaited.
Ms Sitharaman had on Saturday attended the 35th annual convocation of The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in Chennai. Yesterday, Ms Sitharaman had paid floral tributes to former prime pinister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his birth anniversary at 'Sadaiv Atal' in New Delhi.
