Kolkata: An FIR was lodged against BJP's West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh on Monday for allegedly threatening a former party worker, police said on Monday.
Suman Sahoo, the former Jhargram president of Bharatiya Janata Party's youth wing, has lodged a complaint in Jhargram police station against Mr Ghosh for allegedly threatening his life.
"An FIR has been lodged against Ghosh on Monday for being involved in giving life threats to Suman Sahoo, ex-BJP Yuva Morcha president of Jhargram wing," said an officer from Jhargram police station.
"The current state president of the organisation is also named in the case. We are inquiring why the threat was given," he said.
Mr Ghosh was unavailable for comment on the issue.
