24 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot
A woman died in a massive fire broke out today in a building near the Mundka metro station in West Delhi. Information was received about the blaze at 4.40 pm following which 24 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, fire department officials said.
The fire broke out in a building near pillar number 544, Mundka metro station, they said, adding the process of dousing the flames is underway.
Around 60-70 people have been rescued from the building, the police said, adding some people are still trapped inside.
The nine people who were injured have been shifted to a hospital and the rescue operations are still on.
The fire initiated from the first floor of the building which houses the office of a CCTV camera and router manufacturing company, police said.
